What did you do?
What Did You Do Last Weekend (Instead of Serving the Governing Body)?
Last weekend, instead of going out in service or sitting through another Kingdom Hall meeting... here’s what I did:
I hit the gym. I’m officially down 45 pounds since leaving the JW life.
My boyfriend and I watched White Lotus and went out to a billiards hall that serves (oddly) legit Chinese food.
I installed a bed cover on my pickup truck. It ended up being the wrong size—but still way less of a waste than sitting through a public talk and Watchtower study, lol.
I spent some time on my 1976 Lincoln Town Coupe. It’s only got 62k miles and hasn’t been driven since ‘93, but she’s coming back to life and should be road trip-ready this summer.
I planted a bunch of flowers and got my hands dirty in the yard.
It was a peaceful, productive weekend—and I started Monday actually feeling recharged. Funny what happens when you don’t spend your time obeying the Governing Body.

Have a great week,
